DORAN
Charles E. Doran, Sr., 92, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 5, 2024, with his family by his side.
A lifelong resident of the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, Charles was a longtime devoted member of St. Dominic Parish. During high school he was in the Navy Reserves, was later drafted into the United States Navy and proudly served his country as a Radar Specialist aboard the USS Miller, an escort destroyer. In short, Charles was a proud Tin Can Sailor.
After being discharged, Charles worked night shifts at Stone Container and at a gas station while he attended and graduated from Hussian College, a private art school in Philadelphia.  He went on to a career in graphic arts and in turn scale model building. This led to his business, Liberty Graphics, which he proudly continued into his senior years. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. In his free time, he could often be found tinkering with cars, boating, writing, singing and playing a variety of musical instruments.
Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Rosemary (nee Duffy); his parents, Richard and Gertrude Doran; as well as his siblings, Florence, Gertrude, Jean and Richard Doran).
Mr. Doran is survived by his loving children; Denise (Clifford) Webb, Charles E. Doran, Jr. (Claudia), Patricia (John) Frost, Richard (Krista) Doran and Timothy Doran.  He is the cherished Pop Pop of Julie Ulrick (Scott), Michelle McCann (Daniel), Charles Doran, III, Rachael Branca, Christine Bonelli (Jeremiah), John Frost, Janine Buonpastore (Mitchell), Patrick Frost (Emily) and proud Great Grandfather of 15.
