Obituary for  James Vincent Gillespie

James Gillespie, 58 of   Runnemede, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, August 21, 2023.

James  Gillespie, aka “Jimmy” as he was affectionately known as, was born March 29, 1965,  to  Frederick Gillespie and Rita Ciardullo.  James graduated from Cardinal Dougherty Catholic School.

Jimmy was self-employed as a Driver for Uber. 

James was passionate about his family; he loved spending time with his family, especially during the Holidays; You could usually find him on a Sunday or Monday night cheering on his favorite team The Eagles, he will forever be remembered as a diehard bird’s fan. 

James is survived by his children, Ethan Gillespie and Belle Gillespie, and his siblings, Fred Gillespie (the late Loretta), Bobby Gillespie (Mary Ann), and Rosemary Gillespie. In addition, he leaves to cherish his memories of his nieces, Amanda Gillespie, Gi-Gi Gillespie, Corina Little, and nephews Andrew Gillespie, Christopher Gillespie, Juggie (cookie), Danny Gillespie, Michael Cerasi, and Douglas Little.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Brian Connolly, on Tuesday,  August 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM; preceded by a public viewing from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church,8504 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19136. The interment will occur immediately following the conclusion of the Mass, located at Resurrection Cemetery 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020
