Karen Lowry Obituary

Karen Ann Lowry passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the age of 65. Karen was a lifelong resident of (Mayfair) Philadelphia and graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. She was the previous owner/operator of Karen's Custom Karriers. Karen was predeceased by her parents, John Lowry and Alice Lowry, brother John Lowry and dearest Grandmother Mary Striet. She is survived by her beloved wife Christine Patrick, her Aunt Catherine Gabriel, and Uncle Frederick Striet. She is the loving co-parent of Norma, Robert, Jessica, Jose Torres and Ashley Walker. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, numerous cousins, extended family members, and many friends.
Karen was a giving person with a heart of gold. She treasured her family and loved spending time with them. Her passion was to helpothers, always opened her heart and her home, and was simply the most giving person. She would lovingly take care of any animal that needed help. Karen loved fishing and enjoyed watching Eagles games with her family and friends with a Diet Pepsi in hand. Karen's family would like to continue her legacy of kindness and ask for everyone to honor the light she gave to the others by loving one another. Kindness shouldn't just be an act performed occasionally. It shouldn't be something that starts and ends with us. Kindness should be a legacy, passing from person to person, generation to generation. Make Karen proud and do a kind act every day! Her kind and warm presence will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Wednesday, February 01, 2023 from 10:00AM until 11:00 AM at Aldworth Funeral Home 4117 Decatur Street, Philadelphia, PA 19136, followed by her Memorial Service 11:00 AM.The Interment is private.
