Maurice Frank Daly, Jr. aka “Reese”, 69, of the Morrell Park section of (Northeast) Philadelphia, PA but originally from Brooklyn, New York passed away peacefully, Friday, February 23, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his father, Maurice Frank Daly, Sr. and his mother, Margaret Daly.
Maurice’s friends and family affectionately knew him as fun, charming, and enthusiastic about helping people. He was passionate about his family, his love of football, history, his eclectic taste in music, drumming, and fashion. Maurice was also an audiofile. On any day, you could spot him sitting outside or watching a documentary.
In 1972, Maurice graduated from John Dewey High School and attended Queens College.
He was employed by Geisinger Health System as an Endoscopy Technician before his retirement in 2013. Maurice also served as an assistant coach and player mentor for the Bloomsburg University Huskies football team from 2001-2016.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 45 years, Antonia Daly. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-laws, Allison and Bruce Word, Andrea and Deajion Linton, and son, Maurice Daly III; his grandchildren, Jeremiah, Maya, Nehemiah, Aiden, and Samara, as well as his siblings, Ronald Braithwaite, Cheryl Daly, Richard Daly, Marc Daly, and many friends and family.
