ROSEMARY B GIORGI, 82
of the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, August 31st, 2020 surrounded by her family in her home.
Rosemary was born on April 25, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a sister to Alfred "Buddy", Mary and Christine. Rosemary was a devoted wife and mother and a doting grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was known affectionately by everyone that knew her as "GiGi."
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor G Giorgi; her parents, Alfred and Mary Joslin; her son, Michael A Giorgi (Pamela); her daughter, Eileen M Sibley; her daughter-in-law, Dawn B Giorgi; her grandson, Dominic T Giorgi Jr; her grandson-in-law, David Tempio and her great grandson, Nicholas LaPlante.
She is survived by 4 sons: Victor Giorgi Sr, Anthony "Tony" Giorgi, Joseph "Joe" Giorgi and Dominic Giorgi (Colleen); her 19 grandchildren: Trish, Carrie, Chrissy, Michele, Shannon, Marie, Nina, Michael, Nicole, Sherri, Shavonne, Cathalina, Victor Jr, Michael Jr, Joey, Jessica, Danny and Sarah; 37 great grandchildren and her 3 great-great grandchildren.
GiGi loved gardening, art and crafts, decorating for each holiday and season but, above all else, she loved spending time with her family. She was the matriarch and cornerstone of the Giorgi family and everyone gathered at her house for holidays and numerous other occasions.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating GiGi's life on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Saint Dominic's Church in Philadelphia, PA. Viewing begins at 9:00am with a mass to follow at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Bridge to Healing Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to serve the needs of patients living with a cancer diagnosis by bridging the gap between the patient and available resources. Send donations to:
