John J. “Jack” Casey

John J. "Jack" Casey, resident of Pennypack Woods for over 40 years , passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the age of 82. Jack was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and graduate of Father Judge High School. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and retired Philadelphia Detective for over 30 years. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joanne T. (nee Steele; his parents, Genevieve M. (nee Gercke) and James F. Casey; and a sister Eileen M. Reid.

He is survived by his loving son John Casey and daughter Joanne M. "Jo Jo" Casey; grandchildren Ryan and Nicole Casey & William and Thomas Hartman; sister Genevieve Shubert (Bob) and brother Joseph F. Casey, Sr. (Nancy). He will also be deeply missed by his brother-in- law Felix Reid as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 9 AM until 9:45 AM at St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa 19136, followed by his Funeral Mass 10 AM. Interment St. Dominic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory can be made to Wounded Warriors.
