MARGARET MARY JAMES, 78
passed away on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020 at Abington Hospice at Warminster, peacefully in the presence of her family.

Margaret was born on October 22, 1941 in Philadelphia and grew up in the Mayfair section of the city. She attended Saint Hubert Catholic High School, class of 1959.

Margaret retired as a Commercial Loan Representative for Wells Fargo Bank. Previously, she worked at Thomas Jefferson University, Holy Cross Catholic Church in Virginia, and Sears. “Babci” as she was affectionately referred to by her grandchildren, was passionate about her, family, friends, the Phillies and traveling.

Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Peter Berko Sr., Mother, Sophie Berko (Née Marcelewski), brother Peter Berko Jr. (Lynne) and Sister Frances Jackson (James). She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Joseph Timothy James (Monica), and her grandchildren Joseph III, John (Jack), Elizabeth and Nicholas.

Family and Friends can call on Monday morning, July 27th, 2020 at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church 8404 Frankford Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19136; the viewing will occur at 09:00-10:00 AM. The Mass for Margaret James begins at 10:00 AM. The interment is immediately following Mass at St. Dominic’s Cemetery 8504 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19136.
